BUSH: Esports Broadcaster "Maven" Just Resigned With A Tweet Admitting He Was Secretly Dating The Divorced Wife Of His Co-Host "MerK" And The Internet Already Dug Up PLENTY Of Old Tweets That Show This CDL Chaos Was 10 Years In The Making
Apologies if the headline made you a little marble mouthed. Lots of new information for the general population to process. Not everyday you get to throw names like "Maven" & "MerK" out there. Sounds like the Call Of Duty League is complete chaos, behind the scenes.
Press F to pay respects, amiright. But seriously, there are gonna have to do a 1v1 on Rust.
If you want an A+ verbal recap about the whole sordid situation, Mook has you covered at the top.
But if you wanna dive a little deeper into the drama about this [BUSH] then stick around below. Just remember to toss your muffwaders on because we are jumping in headfirst. Starting with "Maven"'s tweet from yesterday that started it all. 6 MILLION views in less than 24 hours... Comments turned OFF... Brave.
I’ll be stepping away from the CDL for the foreseeable future. As some of you know, I was very close to my casting partner Joe and his family. Maurisa was one of my best friends. We remained friends, after they divorced, and along the way it became more than that and we started dating. I understand how unconventional/taboo it is. It’s truly not something I ever foresaw happening. I hope that one day I’ll be back working on the CDL. If not, it was a hell of a ride, and I appreciate the love over the years. Please continue to show support to Joe, the CDL, and its talent!
Giphy Images.Far be it from me to tell someone to avoid choosing LOVE. That's the greatest gift of all in this world isn't it? Not that I'd actually know. Unlike this allegedly fearless divorced-wife dater-trailblazer, I'm still very much a virgin. Bags of sand, etc.
Although I also can't sit here and sing his praises too much, because The Internet has already dug up plenty of old evidence that shows this coupling was a long time coming. Pun absolutely fucking intended brother.

Crazy, wild, banana land stuff. And if it wasn't so taboo off the jump, I'd certainly classify it as an electric factory too. But without any other details known yet, don't wanna speculate or celebrate on the deeper reality. As they say in 'Spinal Tap', that is "too much fucking perspective".
(SOURCE) - It’s unclear if Maven is quitting the League of his own volition, or if he was potentially nudged out by his employers who didn’t want some awkward dynamic developing on screen. MerK and Maven have been a recognizable duo in the Call of Duty esports space for several years, and they have one of the best dynamics in the business. It’s unclear who will partner with MerK full-time going forward, but there’s plenty of bandwidth to determine that, as the CDL isn’t expected to boot up for its 2027 season until mid-December.
Best of luck to the families or people or whatever figuring out this now VERY public drama. Fair to wonder if there's another shoe to drop since "Maven"'s tweet was dropped from the clouds. The sheer randomness makes it seem like getting ahead of something. Who knows. WHO CARES.
Either way, kudos bars all around for all those nerds allegedly having sex multiple times. Honestly didn't know that was possible. Thought it really was the use it/lose it situation. Inspiring to see barriers get broken like that. So choose LOVE. And check your texts "MerK". GGs.
