Nobody Has Ever Shown More Heart Than This Seagull That Got Absolutely Torched By A Tennis Ball, And Still Popped Right Back Up
Life ain't about how hard you can hit. It's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.
So many people in life have this defeatist mindset where they just give up the moment that any adversity is thrown their way. It's hard to come by someone who truly has that fight in them. Who actually believe that doesn't kill them will only make them stronger. And turns out it's going to take a lot more than some weak ass return of serve to kill this seagull.
Obviously this seagull is pretty lucky he wasn't flying through Tucson, Arizona on March 24, 2001 when Randy Johnson was on the mound for a Diamondbacks spring training game. Maybe this seagull doesn't pop up so quickly if he took a 98 mph heater straight to the beak. But a shitty low velocity return with a tennis ball? Maybe he'll be a little concussed for the next few days, but he's getting right back out there.

Also, you gotta love how the rest of his boys made sure to double back and check on him. That's a tight crew right there. Fellas who make sure to get together at least a couple of times a month to grab some drinks. They go on golf trips together, they've been in a fantasy football league together since college, they send each other slightly racist and homoerotic memes on Instagram all day. That's just a great crew right there. They might talk shit to each other all day but when one of their boys takes a Wilson Championship Extra Duty tennis ball to the dome, they all make sure to hang back to make sure he's good. And then I'm sure they'll give him shit about it the rest of the day.
