The Bears Didn't Have Their Best Today But Still Dominated The Jets
The Chicago Bears are 3-1, 2-0 without Caleb and the haters must be beside themselves
The Bears didn't play a clean game. Redzone offense wasn't what we've come to expect. Ultimately though, the Jets are the Jets and their penalties killed them multiple times.
The encouraging thing was literally everything else. I was a little worried heading into this one and that is stupid. The defense looked very good. Ben Johnson unlocked Loveland, Odunze, and Monagai for the first time this year. They dominated every phase of the game and while the score never let us feel fully comfortable, the also wasn't ever in real danger. Bagent was spectacular. I think a ton of people were expecting to see Keenum again after what he did Monday night, but it is further proof that Ben Johnson is never wrong. Went this his guy and his gut and was rewarded. Having the quad box going and seeing other teams with backup QBs just lets you know how good the Bears have it right now with three competent QBs and a genius play-caller.
The Bears are rolling right now.
