The NFL Puts its Foot Down: Billionaire Owners Soliciting $160 Trailer Park Prostitutes Will No Longer Be Tolerated

Well, now we know that the NFL does in fact have some standards of conduct that don't simply stop at the locker room or the coach's office. That in fact, they go up to the highest levels of the front office.

No longer will they just sit back and tolerate owners impugning the integrity of East Palestine, OH trailer parks (credit to Devlin):

Nor will they stand idly back while men who are worth more than the GDP of some countries break a $100 dollar bill, just to give a sex worker the exact change (blog, mine):

No sirree. Actions have consequences in the upper echelons of power in pro football:

Source - San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York is breaking his silence over his August arrest in Ohio … after the NFL suspended him for six games and fined him $500,000 for violating its Personal Conduct Policy.

York tells TMZ he accepts the league's decision in full … calling what happened an "inexcusable mistake" and apologizing to his family, the 49ers organization, fans and partners.

He says … "What I did does not reflect my values or the man I strive to be for my family."

The NFL says York already stayed away from the 49ers' first three regular-season games while its investigation was ongoing … and those absences will count toward the six-game suspension. He's eligible to return Oct. 20.

Well alright then. Duly noted. I suggest every NFL owner write that down as a reminder and pin it to their butler. There are some things the league simply will not tolerate. You can have your mistress turn up dead in your apartment (Jim Irsay). Charge Personal Seat Licenses, plus the cost of tickets, to fans who won't be able to see both end zones (Terry Pegula). Send some referees around on a party bus filled with hot young women (Jerry Jones). Or bilk the taxpayers out of billions to build you a stadium they then need to purchase tickets to get into, and add so many games to paid streaming services that it costs over $1,000 a season to see all your games. But paying a woman in a destitute rust belt town to rawdog her? That's a suspension.

Sorry Jed York. This is a tough break for you. But take comfort in knowing your example will help the other owners and future generations of billionaires to come. Just go to Vegas and spend the money on a top flight escort, like every other rich guy.
