The "Mom Of The Year" Who Went Viral At The Giants Game Has Spoken Out In Defense Of Her Husband, After The Internet Wrongly BASHED Him For Being A Deadbeat

The reaction to this video above is one of the biggest downsides of the internet, man. And people might not care about this story -- especially since the clip came out awhile ago now -- but I definitely feel obliged to shed some light on it.

Last week, this do-it-all mother was spotted carrying her child around her chest while bringing a bunch of food down to her husband at the San Francisco Giants game. The broadcasters made some jokes about the situation, gave her some props for juggling everything, and the game moved on. No problem, whatsoever.

Then, the internet got ahold of the video. And while there were some accounts (like ours) who reposted it just because it was a nice clip of a mom being an all-star, there were other people online who saw the video as an indictment of the father for not helping her out at all. And these commenters had some NASTY shit to say.

Our post on the Barstool main page didn't really do crazy numbers. But the original post from the "no context giants" account garnered over 45 million views on Twitter. Largely because it was a bunch of women rushing to BASH this guy for being a deadbeat dad.

Keep in mind, this is a 60-second video of a father they know nothing about. A couple they know nothing about. And they used that minute-long clip to form an aggressive opinion on these people's entire relationship dynamic. And they not only took the time to form an opinion, they took the time to share that opinion online, where it's documented for everyone to see forever.

People are fucking crazy, man.

Listen, I'm a very opinionated guy. Hell, I talk on a microphone, post on social media, and write blogs for a living. I have to have opinions. But I try not to profess certain opinions about how other people live their lives. I feel weird when I do. Especially when I don't know shit about those people on a personal level.

But these random women on social media had no problem judging this dude on a personal level. And after they judged him, they just went about the rest of their lives and forgot about it, not realizing that their words created a shitshow for this poor couple to navigate. The husband and wife just wanted to go to a baseball game, and now they had to deal with everyone online telling them that they should get a fucking divorce. Or worse, sending them messages about how the husband should off himself.

The mother was so disgusted by all the negativity that she decided to write a blog about everything going on with their family that night. For starters, she mentioned that -- in the moment caught on camera -- her husband offered to help carry the containers of food, in addition to asking if she wanted to eat first instead of looking over the child. Obviously, that conversation couldn't be heard on the broadcast.

She declined both of his offers, though, largely because she wanted to make sure he was having a care-free night at the ballpark. She claims that they decided to go to the game in the first place because the husband had recently lost a longtime friend who was a "gifted baseball player." There was no funeral, so they thought a peaceful night at Oracle Park watching some baseball would be a nice way of remembering the husband's buddy who had passed.

Of course, the commentary surrounding this couple online was anything but peaceful. And it really is a reminder of one simple truth: You have no fucking clue what people are going through. So don't be a prick when it comes to shit that you don't know about.

Sorry if this was a soapbox type of blog. I'm just glad to see this woman putting people in their place.

Best of luck to her and her family.
