"It's SHOWTIME MOTHERFUCKERS"--Patrick Kane Mic'd Up For His First Goal Of The Season

Patrick Kane being back in Chicago is already delivering. That goal and celebration is everything I hoped it would be. Quintessential Patrick Kane right out of the gates. It was late at night, in fucking September, and going head to head with a Cubs playoff game so I feel like it didn't generate the buzz it should've. Now with the Cubs season officially done we can turn more attention to the Blackhawks. 

Overall, it wasn't a great night for the Blackhawks. Dominated by Vegas in the first period. Transition defense was abysmal. Plenty to clean up after a young team had a short preseason going against one of the best teams in the league with all the continuity in the world. They're back at it again tonight in Utah and hopefully they show more. The Blackhawks need to keep their head above the water until Bedard is back and it's go time. You'd think that by then the systems would be in place. Kantserov and Frondell will have their feet wet. Everyone will be up to speed and then you add back in your best player. That's the hope and Patrick Kane will need more goals like this if they're going to do it.
