Nobody is Hotter Than John Fanta, Who Was Doused in Beer By Fernando Tatis Jr. During Padres Locker Room Celebration

Good for John Fanta. I don't think anybody in sports media has been hotter than him in the past... fuck I'm terrible with time frames like this... it feels like it's been the last year? Not that he wasn't "hot" before. He's long been a voluptuous rocket ship of a personality pointed straight at the moon. But not too long ago John Fanta was merely a humble Big East basketball guy. A Big East basketball guy who also popped up on the PBA Tour every now and then.

I'm pretty sure he's dabbled in horse racing as well. Also college softball. It appears he called some Wagner college football games in 2021. He once called a Seaton Hall soccer game on 5 minutes notice.

I'm sure I'm missing something too. I swear I saw him doing lacrosse one time, although I don't see it mentioned on John Fanta's very professional and up to date Wikipedia page.

But most of that was small potatoes until last summer when John Fanta started popping up on bigger and bigger stages.

He's even set to be part of NBC's Summer Olympics coverage in 2028, which he calls his dream broadcasting event.

He's the American dream for a sports broadcaster who started from the bottom and gradually grinded his way to the top.

Now it would be disingenuous of me if I didn't include that one little hiccup we had in Week 1 of the college football season when the powers at be shamelessly played the lovable John Fanta card to make a statement on behalf of the Michigan-Western Michigan Hail Mary ruling.

It's ok though. It's not his fault. If you're reading this Mr. Fanta, it's not your fault. It was nothing more than one step back after hundreds of steps forward. Because look at the man now. Covering playoff-ish baseball, celebrating with the Padres, and being doused in domestic beer by a strong Dominican.

Journalism at its finest. Rarely is it the man who turns down Barstool Sports who winds up going viral for being covered in beer. I'm not actually sure if John Fanta "officially" turned Barstool down, I just know Dave and Big Cat call him the one that got away. It's gotta be doubly bittersweet for Big Cat to see Fanta celebrating with the Padres after sweeping his Cubs.

John Fanta is hot. Even his beloved Cleveland Browns are above .500. They play in what many people are calling The Game of The Century on Thursday Night Football this very evening.

Good stuff, John Fanta. Keep up the great work. It's awesome to see one of the good ones live out Rico Bosco's dream.

P.S. I'm calling my shot now, within two years we're going to see John Fanta on a commercial (possibly during the Super Bowl) dancing and singing "Want-a-Fanta!" with the Fanta Girls. I wouldn't be surprised if the commercial has already been shot.
