'They Can Only Protect One Thing, The Ball Or Their Soul' - Nakobe Dean Dropping This Line Mid-Game Is How You Know The Raiders Are Officially Back
Goddamn, that's one hell of a line. There is also only a couple of teams that can get away with a line like this and not have me be like settle down, it's football. The Raiders top the list. It's not the fact that they have been awesome or some elite defense. They are just the Raiders. Having a guy talk about protecting the ball or their soul is as Raiders as it gets. It doesn't work for the Chargers. It doesn't work for the Dolphins or Cardinals. That's just to prove it only works for one team and they don't even have to be historically good in our lifetime.
I understand we're talking about the Raiders here and it's just 3 games, but this is a new version of the Raiders. They actually play smart. They actually have Klint Kubiak running a fun offense. The defense is flying around. This week will say a lot playing the Chiefs. If they get the win we gotta really start talking about the Raiders as a top team in the AFC. If they keep it close, playoff team. If they get blown out, let's see what happens after that. I want the Raiders to be good. I love the silver and black scheme. It's just one of those franchises that tend to be fun when they are good.

Plus, again, they are the franchise that is made for a guy like Nakobe Dean talking like this. It's awesome. I believe the younger people say, what a bar. I'm too old for that, so I'll just say it fucking rules.
