Nick Sirianni Can't Go Around Calling People The P-Word If He's Going To Punt On 4th And 1

There's a very thin line that Nick Sirianni constantly attempts to walk. He's the head coach of a professional football team in the NFL. But often times he finds himself filling the role of a hype man/locker room guy. He's the guy who is in total control of the entire team, but also acts like the guy at the end of the bench that never gets in but just provides some energy by talking a bunch of shit.
The tough thing about Nick Sirianni is that he almost never executes that tight rope act. Last night would have been a perfect opportunity. I don't have a single problem with Nick Sirianni going insane on the sideline after that hit on Jalen Hurts. Sirianni might be a gigantic douchebag, but at least he is genuine. He has Jalen's back and he's going to prove it the best way he knows how--by either calling D'Marco Jackson, or maybe the ref, or maybe anybody on Chicago's sideline a pussy. Repeatedly. And that is totally fine! Nick Sirianni could have flipped the game on its head right then and there if that was the energy he channeled into the Eagles. To go out there hunting for blood after that moment.
However....
Brother. You can't be screaming across the field calling someone else a pussy, and then turn around and punt this ball. That's the issue with Nick Sirianni. He has to just commit to the bit at this point. Have some more consistency, even if it's consistently being a douche.
I mentioned it last night but the Eagles have to be the worst 3rd quarter team in football this year. So far this season they have had 11 drives in the 3rd quarter. Those 11 drives have ended with 2 field goals, 1 interception, and then EIGHT (8!!!) 3 and outs. This team goes into the locker room at halftime and all the energy gets zapped right out of them. Any shred of momentum is gone after the half, and that's all on Sirianni. He's either getting out coached, or he can't figure out a way to get these guys motivated coming out of the locker room. We know he's not the smartest X's and O's guy out there, but he can inject some energy into these guys. Maybe this is a different game last night if he goes into the locker room screaming about ripping someone's head off for retribution after that hit on Jalen. But he just won't commit to it.
All I'm saying is there haven't been many moments in his tenure so far that you can truly say the Eagles won a game BECAUSE of Nick Sirianni. That needs to change soon.
