LeBron Says He Planned On Joining The Knicks Before They Won

Listen, by now you've seen a bunch of quotes from LeBron's media day press conference. That's what the King does. He brings headlines everywhere he goes, but if you somehow missed them:

But he's right about the Knicks. If he joined a team that just won the championship, he'd never live it down. All the jesters who get off on hating on LeBron would have their field day with it, no matter how cool it would have been to see him in a Knicks uniform playing at the Garden. Instead, we get this superteam* (if healthy) of the 76ers, but I'm not mad at it. The good people of Philly like Jordie deserve this one.

Anyway, Dave's tweet is hilarious. It's objectively true that you'd rather live in NYC, especially with the short commute, especially if your name is LeBron Raymone James. He's born for the bright lights, of course he wants to be a stones throw away from the best restaurants in the world and mingling with other billionaires that are going to help him far after his career is done. Save a table for him at Crane Club or wherever the celebrities are eating these days, because Bron is going to be terrorizing every Michellin star plate the city has to offer for the entire season.
