This might just be exactly what the Sixers needed. To actually have something on the line here when it comes to potentially failing in the playoffs.
You ever leave your wife at home with the kids for an entire Saturday? Maybe you got a tee time with the fellas in the morning. You stay after the round and eat some lunch at the clubhouse. You hang out at the bar for the afternoon to watch some college football. By the time you get back home, the kids are bathed and in bed. You just had an incredible day with zero responsibilities, but you know that it's going to come back to bite you in the ass at some point. Sooner or later, you're going to have to pay the toll for that one. Was it worth it? I guess you'll just have to wait and see.
LeBron is just like the rest of us. He's gallivanting in Philly right now. He gets to just have the time of his life and not have to worry about anything besides playing basketball. It's going to be sweet, but he's going to have to pay that toll at some point. It's not going to be worth the price if he gets bounced from the 2nd round of the playoffs. He needs this team to make it to the NBA Finals. The Sixers have never had to really buckle down like that in the playoffs before. But now that LeBron's marital status is riding on it? It's Finals or bust.
