People Are Mad At This Jaguars Ball Boy For Doing His Job And Not Giving Up Travis Hunter's 1st Career Interception Ball
Everybody has a job to do. And if you want your team to be great, then it takes everybody doing that job. Not just the players on the field. Not just the coaches. But it takes an entire organization locking in and executing their job to the highest degree. That's the standard of winning programs. When literally everybody associated with the organization is obsessed with winning.
This ball boy has a job to do. And sure, you could argue that it's a home game for the Jaguars. Fella should probably have a little better situational awareness and realize it's Travis Hunter's first career pick. But his job is to manage and track all of the team balls during games. And he's getting paid maybe $20/hr to do just that. Travis Hunter is playing on a 4-year, $46.65 million rookie contract. Josh Hines-Allen is playing on a 5-year, $141.25 million contract. Maybe they've forgotten what it's like to not have guaranteed money.

Josh Hines-Allen is 6'5", 255. He's giving up what looks to be at least 7 inches, and 90 lbs. Keeps the ball high and tight, throws a stiff arm, and there was never a doubt he was coming away with that ball. Maybe he's a bit of a lunatic, but sometimes the best in the world are a little psychotic and that's what it takes.
