If I'm A Coach I'm Making All My DBs Wear Guardian Caps

That's all the proof I need. I'm sold. Guardian Caps for all my DBs. Put in the order. It's not about safety, it's not about protecting them from CTE, it's about getting an extra few inches of coverage on the WRs. We all know the NFL is a game of inches. A little toe tap here, a knee down by contact there, a thread of the needle from a QB that seems impossible...it's truly remarkable how many huge games are decided by mere inches. If only there was a famous movie speech about this exact premise...but alas there is not. The fact if he was wearing the turtle shell this bounces off his noggin and changes the entire trajectory of the game and season is incredible

This reminds me of the discussion about players being pulled down by their braids too. It's a bit different, but not entirely. It goes back to the inches thing, you can't give the opponent ANY edge. You gotta take them all yourself. Tuck in your jersey, be bald, wear the biggest helmet possible. Maybe it doesn't look cool, but who cares. Be cool everywhere else, win football games in the mean time.
