Jalen Brunson Did The Impossible (Again) - Made SNL Watchable By Making A Million References And Jokes About Winning The NBA Finals

Clem was right. Jalen Brunson saved another New York institution simply by agreeing to show up. Not only that but by bringing a group of guys like OG, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges and KAT with him. 

You know what, OG? You're right. That was awesome. Let's watch it again 

Love that KAT is making jokes about fouling out and allowed to be around. Here's the whole monologue: 

That's just good old fashioned comedy. I'd like to see another athlete get up there and crack jokes like it and save a show like SNL. LeBron couldn't do that. Philly would have no chance. Wemby would crumble under pressure. The only man who can do this is the face of the NBA. A man with a big head and a championship ring. A man who can act, sing and come through under pressure

I'm a man of honor. I can admit something here. I don't care what Jalen did, I was going to love it. He could walk up for his monologue and fart into the mic 4 times and I'd say he's the best comedy actor this side of mid-2000s Will Ferrell. When you bring me a title and become the King of New York, you can do whatever the hell you want. My point is he knows his role. His role is to save spots in New York. 

You drop 45 in San Antonio with a busted wrist and end the Knicks championship drought, you're a hero and can do no wrong. A perfect Saturday Night Live.
