"It's Pretty Disappointing. It's Not Going To Help Us Win" - Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft Doesn't Understand That If You Play Like Dog Shit You're Going To Get Booed

Last night was one of the worst regular season nights for the Packers in recent memory. On the heels of two poor games to begin the season they returned home to face the 0-2 Falcons who were starting Michael Penix. Simply put, a game you had to win. Not only did not win, they got embarrassed. Blown off the football in every which way. The offensive line that had concern going into the season and spawned genuine panic through two games was somehow even worse than you could have ever imagined. 

Orlovsky dove into it today on Get Up. You just can't have an offense with this poor of an o-line. 

On top of that the defense allowed 498 yards to a Falcons offense that had yet to snap the ball in the red zone through the first two games. Granted, that was with Cooper Rush and Penix returned last night, but Penix is not this elite game-changing quarterback. This team was fully embarrassed on all levels last night. As a result you had fans in the stands having mental breakdowns, hoping that they were hallucinating and just stuck in a bad dream. 

Nope this nightmare was real. The team was booed off the field, and rightfully so. That didn't sit well with star tight end Tucker Kraft, who just received a 4 year $75M contract. 

"That's pretty tough. Like everyone pictures Lambeau Field and not boos. I don't picture boos. I picture my home stadium. That's tough. It's pretty disappointing, especially for a home opener. It's pretty disappointing. It's not going to help us win. Like I don't know what people think that's going to rally us or something like that. But that's -- we're grown men. We're mentally strong enough, capable enough to get back on the field and play ball. But it'd probably much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than opposing us."

You know things are as bad as can be when you can't even get Tucker Kraft to say the right thing. Like holy fuck dude, what happened to you? We're a week removed from Kraft saying after a win that they can't let the results mask their problems. Very mature way of conveying that they can't be complacent despite the results. Now he's going at the fans for booing as they play their third dogshit game in a row and get blown off the field during the home opener? That's just not the way to address this situation at all. Christian Watson said all the right things. 

They boo you because they want to cheer for you. If you deserve the boos you get them. When things turn around they'll be there for you. That's just how it works. I believe Derek Jeter once said in the midst of a bad stretch for the Yankees that if he was a fan he'd boo him too. Boo away. 

Unfortunately I don't think the boos are going to stop. You can't win with this bad of an offensive line and you can't fix this bad of an offensive line with four backups starting in the middle of a season. So far the Packers have only had to face Carson Wentz, Geno Smith, and Michael Penix. Just wait til they go up against actual good quarterbacks. This season is cooked.
