'It Was Kind Of Dead Out There' - Wyndham Clark Called Out The Fans At Medinah Yesterday, Wants Them To Give The US An Advantage This Weekend

Hold on, let me get ahead of this here because I know what everyone is going to say. People care about the Ryder Cup more than the Presidents Cup and it's day 1 of that. There, but here's my counter to it. Don't you care when people are wearing the red, white and blue? I don't care if it's not the 'big' event and we had the massive let down at Bethpage last year, but it's still Scottie and JT and Xander and Cam Young and everyone else out there playing to keep the Presidents Cup. 

Wyndham isn't wrong. At least on the TV it came across like the fans were just kinda there. No one is saying turn this into Bethpage where people wouldn't stop talking about how many assholes were there. But make some noise. It's one of the few times in golf you're allowed to have fun and see a completely different game. You get to see team play. You get to see the future of US golf in Jackson Koivun. That dude and JT put on a show yesterday. 

Not to mention we're a little lucky to be up 3-2 after yesterday. Scottie and Sam Burns pulled one out late that Sungjae Im/Min Woo Lee should have sealed but missed a ton of putts. So it's not like you're going to an ass kicking. You're going to Medinah to see some damn good golf. Part of it comes to the golfers too. Outside of Tom Kim and maybe Min Woo Lee, I'm not sure who on the International Team is going to kind of fire up the team and get the fans rowdy. The US has to handle that. At the Ryder Cup you get basically all the European golfers and fans involved. 

Either way, if you're going to Medinah make some noise. It's the USA vs someone else. That's all you need to know and care about.
