PETE CROW-ARMSTRONG HAS JOINED THE 40/40 CLUB

An ABSURD year for PCA. The unquestioned MVP of the NL in my mind. The guy can do literally everything. The speed and the defense were always there. The power and overall offensive performance this season has been amazing to witness. We are so lucky to have him in Chicago. This has to go down as one of the greatest trades in Chicago, if not sports, history. An electric player who is truly a 5 tool type of guy. 40/40 is such an exclusive club and it feels like it was inevitable this year for PCA. Only the 7th guy ever to do it. They've been playing baseball for like 150 years and SEVEN guys have done it. Mike Trout never had a 40/40 season. PCA is just on a different level right now and I never want this season to end. 

I said this on twitter earlier this year and some people pushed back, but I think this is the single greatest season ever by a Chicago Cub when you consider all the factors. The defense, the base running, and what he has meant for this playoff chase. Sammy's summer of '98 is the only other one in consideration.

PCA is the perfect player for this era. I wish baseball had more guys like him, but that's impossible. A truly one of a kind super star.
