Congratulations Antonio Brown! – He Will Be Serving ZERO Prison Time After Being Charged With Second-Degree Murder For Firing Two Shots a Guy After Boxing Match in Miami
What a nightmare of a person Antonio Brown turned out to be. He's truly one of the more tragic figures in all of sports. I suppose exactly how "tragic" depends on how much of his lunacy can be attributed to CTE, and how much is just him being a bad person by his own merit. Unless he decides to donate his brain to science, we may never know exactly how much Vontaze Burfict rattled his brain that day.
But any player who goes from being at the top of the sport to whatever Antonio Brown is now is a little sad. And I feel like he's gone so far off the deep end that when people heard he was being charged with second-degree attempted murder, we all just kinda brushed past it. It wasn't especially shocking to hear. It seemed about par for the course for him. And it wasn't quite as comical as say, pulling his dick out in a pool.
Or throwing a literal bag of dicks (gummy dicks) at a cop/baby mama.
But Antonio Brown shot a guy, god damn it. With a gun. He's long since graduated from cartoon villain to actual menace to society. Antonio Brown allegedly took a gun from a security guard and fired two shots at a guy he had been in a fight with earlier. One of bullets allegedly grazed the guy's neck. Inches away from murder. And when the warrant was put out for Antonio Brown's arrest, they had to track him down in Dubai to bring him home. Hell of a story.

WBAL 11 – Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown was arrested and is facing attempted murder charges in relation to a May shooting in Miami, Florida, the city's police department confirmed.
According to an arrest warrant detailing the May shooting, Brown is accused of grabbing a handgun from a security staffer after the boxing match and firing two shots at a man he had gotten into a fistfight with earlier. The victim, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, told investigators one of the bullets grazed his neck.
You gotta think grazing a guy's neck with a bullet would land you some real prison time. He was facing up to 30 years of it, with a 20-year minimum sentence if found guilty. You'd think he would end up behind bars for at least a few. But nope. Antonio Brown will serve zero time. His attorney announced today that the State made Antonio Brown "an offer he couldn't refuse".
NBC Miami – Former NFL star Antonio Brown will accept a plea deal after being charged with attempted second-degree murder in connection with a shooting following a celebrity boxing event in Miami last year, his attorney said on Wednesday.
In a statement, Brown's attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, said the plea deal offered by prosecutors was will "dramatically reduce the criminal charge against him and result in probation rather than a prison sentence."
“He is not accepting this agreement because he suddenly agrees with the State's allegations,” Eiglarsh said. “He is accepting it because the State made him an offer he couldn't refuse. There is a profound difference between believing you can win a case and deciding that you and your family cannot afford to spend another year, or potentially several years, wearing an ankle monitor and fighting it.”
Brown was facing up to 30-years in prison, including a 20-year minimum mandatory sentence if he was found guilty.
Which means when Antonio Brown officially accepts the plea deal on September 30th, he'll once again be a free man. Be careful citizens of Miami. The ankle monitor is coming off. And based on this TikTok he posted the other day, he seems as nuts as ever.
"As nuts as ever" might be a little harsh. Antonio Brown has certainly been more nuts than that. Honestly, as crazy and borderline incoherent as that video is, that's the kind of stuff I don't mind seeing from him. If there's one thing Antonio Brown should be able to speak on it's wide receivers. If he's going to use his crazy for something, let it be ripping apart NFL wide receivers for dropping footballs. You can say a whole lot of things about Antonio Brown, but there's only a few people in the world who can say they played the position better than him.

Antonio Brown is in the headlines for so many other reasons nowadays, I don't think kids appreciate just how good he was. In his prime he was the best in the NFL. And he did it all as a 5-foot-10 player out of Central Michigan.
People forget that the Central Michigan Chippewas had two Hall of Fame caliber players catching passes for them in 2007. J.J. Watt was a TE before he transferred. Those two went down a different paths, huh? J.J. Watt is as role model as it gets. Antonio Brown on the other hand… well at least he's not going to prison… yet.
