The Nathan Fielder/Elizabeth Holmes Prison Documentary Is Rated R For "GRAPHIC NUDITY" & Here's Their 1st Trailer For 'You Can See Everything'

“Thirty-four days before she’s sent to prison, notorious Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move. What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss. From boundary-pushing directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim comes You Can See Everything.”
Holy SHIT what a trailer man. Literal goosebumps by the end for me. This really is gonna be a psychological thriller like no other. Eat your heart out 'Seven'! If you missed their first teaser a few weeks ago, it's just more of the same from above. Weird, unsettling, untrustworthy, vibes. Delicious.

And although this documentary was already extremely up my alley as a self proclaimed Fielder Freak, does seem like the overall enjoyment potential is ripe for an all-timer. For anyone out there. Well… maybe not Elizabeth Holmes & her pretty boy. Speaking of freaks…
HIGHLY recommend you give a binge to 'The Dropout' before this doc comes out. Emmy winning performance from Amanda Seyfried as antisocial mannequin extraordinaire Ms. Holmes. I watched it solely based off this bizarre dancing clip that went re-viral a few weeks ago, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. Absolutely makes sense why she won that hardware. It's a fascinating look at one of the cringiest humans to ever (briefly) succeed in these hallowed halls of America.

There are some rumors that Nathan might have enlisted Amanda to play her again for this documentary, but nothing confirmed there. With a runtime of 174 minutes, there could certainly be some room for that once she heads to prison for her 11 year sentence. But the only other fact known about the plot so far is that there WILL be graphic nudity at some point.

What the HELL is gonna happen in this movie? It makes no damn sense. Compels me though. All I know is, I will be SEATED with bells on when this comes out October 16th. Also pretty wild the director of this flick has his Chris Hansen movie 'PRIMETIME' coming out this weekend too. Helluva career aiready for Lance Oppenheim. And what a true eye for talent Nathan Fielder has.

Still kinda crazy for me to see Nathan go from "Dumb Starbucks" to major motion picture features, but it's certainly all well deserved for him. I have no doubt this Elizabeth Holmes experience is gonna be a ride like no other. Hell, even Christopher Nolan has become a fan of Fielder's work. That's high praise. And worth a listen. Have a great week my fellow Freaks.
Fielder talks about his creative process and so much of it comes through in trailer for Elizabeth Holmes doc:
-Fielder says he “stumbles into ideas he gets excited about” without a master plan and “just piles things on and it grows” (for the Holmes doc, he had an agreement with A24 to scrap the project even after years of shooting if he didn’t think there was a film)
-setting the tone is the top priority, even moreso than narrative (“when you have the tone right, everything falls into place”)
-the musical score is crucial in setting the tone (the sound doesn’t even have to match action on the scene, it can float above just setting mood)
-he doesn’t want to rush scenes; let them develop to the point where audience is expecting any action to be consequential and it builds the tension (inspired by old detective TV show Colombo)
PS: sorry for the suckfest but also gotta shout out the poster for this documentary. Can't see a damn thing on there… 2 different ways to read the text… once again, delicious work. CAN'T WAIT.
