Kylie Jenner Vlogged A Day In Her Life As A Billionaire Flying On Her Private Jet To Saint Tropez And It's Weirdly Endearing All Things Considered
I can't even hate this. There's something endearing about Kylie Jenner. People in the replies are ripping her, saying "people can't eat and she's flying private" blah blah blah. I can hear your ethical arguments and understand them. I generally think most mega-rich people are genuinely bad people, more or less. People like Peter Thiel or Elon or Zuck. But this video from Kylie...I am not going to say she's "normal" because everything is so over the top. But it didn't make me hate her. I found it more on the interesting side, and was sort of nice to see someone actually showing us peasants how the top .00001% live instead of cosplaying as poor.
A few things I found fascinating:
1) Everything she wears is made or tailored specifically for her. While that isn't shocking, I couldn't help but think about the amount of TIME it takes to live that way. Having to try everything on, have everything measured, try everything on again, have it re-tailored, and so on and so forth. That sounds SO exhausting. But I guess it works!

2) She drove herself to the airport. She doesn't have a driver on the payroll? I guess she just enjoys driving. Celebrities, they're not that different from us after all.
3) She didn't bring a friend on Air Kylie with her. I was not surprised she owns her own plane or that it's custom to her or that she's eating better food at 40,000 feet than most of us will ever eat. That's just normal for her. What did surprise me is she doesn't have a homie traveling with her. Nobody hitched a ride to the wedding on Air Kylie?

4) How she isn't bragging. That's the vibe I got…she isn't bragging, she simply doesn't know any different. When she's showing her outfits or driving to her private jet, or whatever…that's just her life to her. She has never known different, like Truman in the Truman Show. But she does know she has a ginormous following who are very interested in her life, so in her head she's just showing a normal Kylie day. It's truly fascinating to me.
As you can imagine, most of the quote tweets and replies are "eat the rich" and things of that sort. I get being mad that billionaires are living like this while the government and corporations are suffocating us and milking us to the bone while the price of everything goes up and wages stay the same. I get being angry at a lot of this type of thing. But I do not hate Kylie for making that video. Some people simply have way more money than they need, and all things considered I thought he vlog was a cool little look into the life of someone who is going to live that way regardless.
