Devastating Injuries And A 60 Minute Ass Kicking - Everything About That Giants Game Was As Depressing As It Gets

There's no point in trying to say much about this game. It sucked. It was miserable. Myself and every other Giants fan is now depressed. All that matters is Jaxson Dart's health. You had this report:

You had Steven Cheah reading lips

You had him back on the sidelines

That has to be a good sign, right? Him getting dressed and not in the morgue has to be a step in the right direction. Oh, if that wasn't enough. Malik Nabers looked like he got hurt again before coming back in

Arvell Reese got checked for an injury. Then with under 6 minutes to go, Brian Burns had to get helped off the field.

Oh and then there was the ass kicking.

Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams could have done whatever they wanted and they did just that. There was no pass rush. There was no coverage. The only guy who showed up was Jevon Holland with a pick, a forced fumble and recovery. He was fine. Everyone else was just dogshit. I chalk that up to the Dart injury and not being the same old Giants. But, what's the point of chalking anything up? Again, none of this matters until we find out about Dart's injury.

Nothing was fun about tonight. The offensive line got bullied. When Jameis had guys open he was throwing passes that reminds you he's a backup quarterback. I'll say it, he was bad. Sucked even. That's the bad part of the Jameis experience. There was actually a point where the Giants could have made this a real game. Instead Winston throws a pick and then the Giants run Najee Harris on 3rd and short right inside the 5. Disgusting. As bad as the Rams jerseys.

It's week 2 and we got guys on bum watch. Looking mostly at you, Theo Johnson. Arvell Reese, not a bum, but he got lost in coverage more than anyone ever has from the linebacker spot. Tyler Nubin was a mess at safety. And, again, all the Rams had to do was throw the ball to Adams and they were getting 40 yards.

That might be the most depressing Giants game I've ever watched. The high of winning week 1. The high of having hope. Now everyone is hurt and it was 60 minutes of looking like shit. Miserable.
