Some Hero Finally Realized The Chicago Red Line Needed A Dining Car And Fired Up A Charcoal Grill Mid-Transit

Everybody else sees “lunatic grilling on the Red Line.” But I see an entrepreneur identifying a hole in the marketplace.

Think about it- Amtrak has a café car. Airlines have meal service. The Red Line gives you absolutely dogshit except delays, some strung out junkie screaming at an invisible enemy, the aroma of human feces and urine, and the possibility of getting kicked in the face at Roosevelt.

This man said enough is enough and took it upon himself to raise the bar.

That’s a man who looked at Chicago public transportation and said, “You know what this experience is missing? Open flame.” (Not including lighters for crack pipes)

Before the haters start screaming about “fire codes” and “carbon monoxide” and “burning an entire train car down,” obviously those are details the lawyers can hammer out later.

Let me remind you that great ideas always sound crazy at first.
