You have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette. Sure, $118,000 may sound like a lot of money. But if I told you Mighty Mike Plays was the next Mr. Beast, you would understand that $100k is pocket change for that kind of return. You gotta have some perspective.

In fairness to Mike's dad, however, I can only imagine the terror of being called into your boss's office to discover your son has racked up six figures worth of YouTube ads on the company card. Getting canned off the bat would be an infinitely less harrowing experience.

But I can already tell from Mike's sign-off that this is not the last we will hear from him. Clearly, he has to go dark for a few years, but you can see just from, "I'm definitely cooked," that this kid has the "it" factor. This is the birth of a star.

Hopefully everything is ok with Mike's dad's job and we can all laugh about this one day. And even if it isn't, I have a feeling Mike will be able to give his father a nice early retirement in a decade or so because he's going places in the YouTube space.
