Jeffery Simmons Is Making A Strong Case To Being The Dumbest Player In The NFL After Saying The Titans Just Need To "Make Jalen Hurts Be A Quarterback"

They don't play nearly enough for there to be any sort of rivalry there, but this dipshit Jeffery Simmons sure seems hellbent on trying to create one for no reason at all. The last time these teams played, Jalen Hurts dropped his nuts all over the Titans' defense. The Eagles beat the brakes off of them 35-10, and the Titans went on to lose their final 6 games of the season that year. They got off to a hot start in 2022, but Jalen Hurts and the Eagles murdered them.
Then they sucked in 2023. They were horrific in 2024. They were putrid in 2025. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts has managed to bring the Eagles to the Super Bowl twice during that span, and won one of them as the Super Bowl MVP. Moral of the story here is that Jeffery Simmons and the Tennessee Titans suck at football while Jalen Hurts constantly finds ways to win. The last thing you'd ever want to do in that position is give this Eagles team more of a reason to beat your ass. But Jeffery Simmons clearly doesn't turn on his brain before he spews shit out of his mouth.
Stop his runs and make sure he doesn't get out of the pocket? Brother…..did you even bother to watch a minute of film this week? Did you not see what Jalen Hurts did on Sunday afternoon against Washington?
I would actually love to know how much film Jeffery Simmons has watched. Because clearly it's zero. Clearly he didn't watch anything from the Eagles' season opener, and clearly he didn't watch anything from the last time the Titans played the Eagles.
This is where guys just need to learn the difference between being an idiot online/in the media and being an idiot in real life. Because there are dipshits out in the world like Colin Cowherd who can disrespect Jalen Hurts all they want, and nothing is really going to come of it. It's not like Jalen Hurts is going to show up at the studio and embarrass him in front of everybody. He's going to look like a moron every week when he's proven wrong, but Colin Cowherd still gets to keep his job because having basic sports knowledge is no longer a prerequisite to being on television talking about sports.

But for Jeffery Simmons? He literally has to go up against Jalen Hurts this Sunday. He doesn't get to say dumb shit about Jalen Hurts and then hide behind a screen. He has to go out there on Sunday and watch as he hits DeVonta Smith for 45 yards here, Dallas Goedert for another 25 yards there, gets the Makai Lemon Party going with 35 yards there. It's easy to talk about Jalen Hurts to a bunch of dork journalists in the locker room. It's a lot more difficult to stop him when you're all alone out there on the field against him.
