Some Things Are Bigger Than Sports: Welles Crowther's Mom Breaking Down The Team After A BC Win On September 11th Is A Beautiful Sight

Absolutely beautiful. For those unfamiliar with the story, Welles Crowther gave his life on September 11th, but not before helping as many people as he could that day.

It's a beautiful story on a day when our country had so many sad ones, but it reminds us that when up against it, American people have goodness in their heart and will always do what we can when it matters, despite that people may want to paint us an opposite way.

Boston College has honored Welles Crowther each year with a Red Bandana game in his memory. A very touching and emotional night for their program, and the Crowther family. Last night the game fell on the 25th anniversary of the 11th, and Welles mother broke down the team after the win. An awesome moment to see, and one everyone can root for. No offense to Rutgers, but the entire world would rather BC win that game last night. A really beautiful moment by O'Brien and his staff, and one I'm sure the players and the Crowther family were very proud to be a part of, by reminding to never ever forget the legacy of their son.
