Yeah, I mean, that's all fair play. The whole time we had a rest vs rust type debate with jetlag and sleep experiments and all that stuff. I don't think getting off the plane 25 hours before the game caused fumbles or getting stuffed at the inch line with a Stafford sneak, but people will run with it. I will say it was fucking weird seeing Mike Evans wear 5 and the 49ers jersey. I know Brock Purdy has been there but Evans is way more 13 than Brock Purdy. That should be the rule for jersey numbers. That said, Evans still got it. Perfect fade for a touchdown, looked good out there and is basically one of like 3 receivers left on the 49ers who aren't hurt. Him, DeMarcus Robinson and Deebo. 

But this was always going to be the story people ran with if the Rams lost or didn't look right. Forget that it's week 1 and a game was in fucking Australia, people will just run on the whole didn't care or didn't take it seriously. Well, except this happened too:
