Skinny King: Matvei Michkov Dropped 30 lbs This Summer And The Fat Shamers Are Furious

Anybody who knows anything about being an elite athlete knows about bulking. Dipshit idiot podcasters like Ryan Whitney just wouldn't get it. Guys like that peaked at the Quebec peewee tournament. But for a guy like Matvei Michkov? Well he has dreams and aspirations to be the greatest hockey player on the planet some day. He has the hands and the skillset to do it, but size has never been in his favor.

He's a small kid, and he's playing in a much more physical league than he was ever used to playing in before. He knew he had to get stronger if he wanted to survive. So he tacked on some mass last season, and everybody just thought he was a fat slob showing to camp out of shape. People were calling him Fatvei Michkov. Pretty fucked up, if you ask me, but people are ruthless. Especially dipshit idiot podcasters.

But again, it was just bulking season for Matvei Michkov. You need to start from a giant slab of marble if you're going to carve out a statue. And our boy is officially carved up heading into camp this year.

He dropped 30 lbs from last season and he's down to 10% body fat. He's lean. He's shredded. And he's ready to shove it right up everybody's hoop who was ragging on him last year for being a little beefy.

It might be a little late in Matvei Michkov's hockey career to completely reinvent the way he skates. He might never have the edge work and explosiveness of a guy like future Flyer, Connor McDavid. But he sees the game develop quicker than everybody else out on the ice. And now that he doesn't have an extra 30 lbs to carry around out there, he'll be able to get to his spots quicker. He doesn't need speed in the traditional sense because he's already thinking multiple steps ahead. And now his body will be able to keep up with his mind.

He had a somewhat struggling season last year. Nathan MacKinnon only put up 38 points during his 2nd year in the league, and he turned out pretty solid. So I think Matvei Michkov can absolutely bounce back after a quiet 51-point season. He's motivated, he's in great shape, and he has a ton of losers to shut up this year after they got way too comfortable talking about him last year. The Mad Russian is coming.
