UPDATE: Dianna Russini Reportedly Plans To Tell Her Side Of The Mike Vrabel Story SOON When Her Next Job Starts With The Goal Being To "Speak On The Matter And Move Past It Once & For All"
Happy NFL Opening Night to all who celebrate! Must be an exciting time for all the Patriots fans out there. Their old friend Dianna Russini sure seems pumped up about it. Because now that The Athletic investigation essentially "cleared" her of any wrongdoing with her "reporting", she can begin planning her casual strut back into the primetime game. Maybe.
If you need to catch up on those sordid details from last week, give a click on the blogs above. Or if you wanna hear about her next potential employer being Barstool SPORTS, there's more on that spine tingling rumor below.
Of course I certainly have no fuckin' clue if that rumor is true. But I'm gonna keep blogging this story into Bolivian until I'm told to stop by the powers that be. After all, we are still trying to get pageviews around here right? RIGHT? Tell em D!

LOVE to see she isn't willing to sit on the sidelines any longer. Get em girl! So why should we be any different as her potential future employer? Actually kinda inspiring to see her release this whisper into the wind today, right as her alleged former lover is about to take the field in an attempt to avenge his embarrassing Super Bowl loss & reputation destroying offseason in Sedona. How's that old adage go…
Hell hath no fury like a women scorned in Scoop City? Something like that.
(PFT) - As the Patriots prepare to play their first game after an offseason that presented an unexpected distraction, the issue will have at least one more development, eventually. The New York Post, which pulled the first pin on the Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel grenade five months and two days ago, reports that Russini will tell her side of the story upon taking her next job.
The goal, per the report, will be to “speak on the matter and move past it once and for all.” Whether she’ll ever truly move past it remains to be seen. If/when she reactivates her Twitter account, any and all reporting or commentary will be met with a torrent of the cesspool-style responses for which the platform is notorious.
Florio isn't kidding about the cesspool of replies that awaits her 1st Tweet back in the saddle. Lest we forget, this is a peek at what she got sent after trying to post normal NFL news when this scandal first broke. Deleted her account within days of this.
The next round of memes are ready, willing, & Vrabel I'm sure. And although I don't want to side with the trolls here, the two of them sure did leave a lot of #content out there to keep that fire burning for a good while. Tough titties.

(SOURCE) - Russini, the source continued, was inundated with interview requests from major networks, podcasts and even reality television shows as the scandal unfolded, but she rejected them all in favor of speaking on her own terms at the right time. As for how Russini will be received within the league, the source was adamant that most NFL owners, coaches, staffers and players have been supportive and pulling for her return.
The reporter’s former employer released the findings of its internal investigation last week, stating Russini’s relationship with Vrabel was “in clear violation” of its standards. “Regardless of whether the relationship was romantic, it was a breach and should have been disclosed,” Mike Semel, the editorial director for standards and quality at the Athletic, said. Semel noted he did not find “a clear link to conclude that Russini used her platform to help promote Vrabel or help his teams during her time at the Athletic,” but said there were times Russini wrote “glowingly of Vrabel that in hindsight are awkward or even uncomfortable.”
But I will say, it has been fascinating seeing the response to her actions versus Vrabels. Sort've feels like he got off without any real issues. He got to keep his job, he's been operating business as usual during Training Camp, and now they're on to Seattle for a full regular season of new storylines & weekly discourse on game results.
Fair to wonder if she feels any type of way about that unfairness. I'd certainly understand if she wanted to settle the score a little bit in the court of public opinion.
(SOURCE) - Vrabel told Page Six that the photos "show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable." According to a person who spoke to Vrabel at the time, the head coach had wanted to issue a stronger statement that defended Russini's reporting ethics but settled on downplaying the photos.
But several women reporters, from ESPN and other outlets, said that the Vrabel-Russini situation has impacted their jobs, which were already challenging because of their gender. "It really sucks this came from someone who a lot of us thought approached things differently than his peers," said one NFL reporter who has covered Vrabel. "It's just unfortunate because it felt like he understood there are challenges that women in the business face and was doing one small bit to try and push back on it."
Multiple executives and communications staffers around the league said the Vrabel-Russini story was a major discussion inside other NFL clubs. One assistant coach from another NFL team told ESPN: "All the coaches are under surveillance right now, all the s--- with Vrabel." Another NFL assistant coach who does not work for New England said that he is more careful now when interacting with women colleagues and reporters. "It's the insinuation; you gotta watch yourself because players, coaches, people are looking at you, like 'Are you in a relationship?' "That is the trickle-down effect. Just imagine you've been working all day, 14, 16 hours, and you get to come home and your wife says, 'Hey, did you see this?' …. It creates the perception of, OK, this is what coaches are doing when we're out of town or playing away games."
Either way, T's & P's to her poor husband for having to endure all of this drama against his will. Even if all that alleged romance wasn't real, it's still been a skin crawling experience looking back on all the ways he was reduced to a worthless crumb over her illustrious TV career.
So Mike, if we ever end up at the company Christmas party together, 1st round is on me pal. You've earned it. Also FYI our open bar is only active till 9pm. Times are tough for Big J Journalists everywhere it seems. Once again, T's & P's all around.
And as always, choose LOVE. One time.
