Rock Bottom: We Got A Georgia Southern Player Publicly Admitting He's Not Scared Of Clemson At All After Seeing What Happened In The LSU Game

Oof. I know you may have quickly looked at that headline and thought it said Georgia. No, this is Georgia Southern. The team who gets to play Clemson next, stating they are smiling at the thought of what they say from the LSU tape. Can't really blame them. Clemson looks lost. They aren't Clemson anymore, which is weird to think considering the run from 2015-2020 with a couple titles and all top-4 finishes.

Now? Now you have Dabo fighting with reporters

Gotcha culture! That's something that's been a running joke here and Dabo is flat out saying that in seriousness here. I don't care if people will claim what do you want Georgia Southern to say? That they are scared? Of course not. But there is a tone from how teams talk when they are fairly big underdogs and what they say. Coming with tape talk and saying there's a smile? Yeah, they aren't scared of this version of Clemson anymore.

It's a win-win game too for Georgia Southern. If Clemson goes out and boat races them, no one thinks anything of it. Oh, look at Clemson, they can beat a smaller team and get smoked by LSU. If Georgia Southern wins? Aaron Sears called his shot and gets to gloat even more. It's not like Clemson can use this to promote a win or anything like that. You're supposed to beat teams like this, no matter where Clemson is at this point.

I also love this after week 1. I do miss the days where a loss like that would eliminate you from the national championship, but, hey, we all get to clown Clemson together. That's a win.
