Louisiana Judge Rules Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, Who Were in NFL Training Camps, Can Officially Play for LSU This Season
There you have it, folks. Thanks to Louisiana 19th District Court Judge William Jorden, LSU will be permitted to play former NFL players Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris in 2026. SEC rosters are due on Friday. Now we wait.
I can't fathom Lane Kiffin would have done all this to get to this point and not play these guys. They won in court and I'd guess we will see them in LSU uniforms this season.
While this is an issue that should only pertain to players from the 2022 class who had left school before the NCAA's 5-for-5 rule passed, it is no less insane. The answer to, "Where do you draw the line?" is always, "Somewhere." If you have signed an NFL contract and spent time on a professional practice field, you can't play college football again. I'm very sorry if a few guys from the one class who didn't get that fifth year feel that is harsh, but them's the breaks.
In a cruel twist of irony, the college football world now turns its gaze upon Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers as they become the proxy for good in a battle against evil on Saturday night in Baton Rouge. The soul of college football rests in his hands.
