The Hits Just Keep Coming: Tacko Fall Is Now The Latest Beloved Former Celtic To Find His Way To The Sixers This Summer

I'm not sure what type of sick joke the Basketball Gods are trying to play this summer, but I do not care for it one bit. It started with the Jaylen Brown trade. It wasn't so much the fact that he got traded, the context around the move always existed and made it a scenario that was always plausible as we got closer to his pending extension. The sick joke of course was where the Basetball Gods sent him. That was a kick right to the dick.

As it turns out, they've decided to twist the knife and take this sick joke to an even higher level.

I mean what the hell. How much pain can one man endure in a single summer? Celtics legend Tacko Fall? OK, "legend" may be a little extreme, but fan favorite Tacko Fall? 

As someone who loved Tacko as a Celtic and always thought there was a role for him in the NBA, this one hurts. I am kindly asking the Basketball Gods to cut the shit and stop putting Celtics that I loved on the Sixers. Enough already. The Jaylen shit was already tough enough, but now I also can't even root for Tacko's return? That's messed up. The same way I can no longer root for Jaylen Brown's success, the same is now true for Tacko and frankly, that's annoying. Who cares that Tacko only played 26 total games as a Celtic. They were an electric 26 games. Never forget that it was Tacko who gave us one of the best Brad Stevens moments during his entire coaching tenure

So to see another beloved Celtic ultimately find his way to the Sixers in the summer of 2026?

Do I think Tacko can actually make the Sixers NBA roster? I don't see why not. They have a potential need when it comes to a backup center as we enter the season, and even though he hasn't played in the NBA in 4 years, you can't teach 7'6. Every team nowadays is looking for a potential Wemby stopper, so why not take a flyer? I just personally hate that it has to be the Sixers of all teams who are the ones doing it.  

Also, not the point of this blog, but Jameer Nelson Jr? Holy shit are we all getting old. It feels like Jameer Nelson Sr was just in the NBA, and he already has a kid in the NBA? Where has all this time gone. 

So while part of me is happy Tacko is back to some degree, I unfortunately have no choice but to root against him. Sick joke Basketball Gods. How dare you.
