Private Equity Isn't Ruining Youth Sports. Dickhead Adults Getting Into Fights In The Middle Of The Game Like This Are The Ones To Blame
Youth sports have the ability to be both the best thing in America, and the worst. It's great because kids get to learn so many valuable life lessons through sports. You learn how to be a winner, you learn how to deal with losses, you learn about teamwork and dedication. And most importantly, kids get to be out there having fun with their friends.
And then you have the world's biggest dickheads like this fella right here.

Absolute fucking scumbags who never amounted to anything in their life, so they treat these youth sports teams they coach like a second chance at glory.
There have been plenty of pieces written lately about private equity killing off youth sports in America. How its pricing families out, and completely draining community leagues. But literally anything is better than this. Anything is better than a 5'8" coach (I can make fun of his height because I am also vertically challenged) throwing a tantrum in the middle of a game for 8-year-olds, hitting a woman, and creating so much chaos on the field that the game had to be cancelled.

Get private equity in there and price this guy out of ever coaching football again.
Obviously the main issue here is that some people are just pieces of shit. You're never going to change that. Pieces of shit have been around since the dawn of time. But another thing that drives me crazy is when you see all these rankings for kids as young as 8 or 9-years-old. In no world does there need to be a #1 ranked team of 9-year-olds. Like look at this shit right here. There are literally national rankings for 7u football.

That doesn't need to exist. If anything, you could argue that it's terrible for something like this to exist. Because it turns these parents into maniacs. Your kids are 7-years-old. You could just lie to them and say they are the best team in the nation if you want, and they'll believe you. The only reason these rankings actually exist is for parents to ego trip over them. Then you get scumbag coaches who think this 8u football game is so much bigger than it actually is, and turn it into an all out melee.
At the end of the day, it's the adults who ruin youth sports. Always has been, always will be.
Sidenote: I love the attitude out of this fella to jump into the fight as soon as the green coach put his hands on the woman, but you have to be ready to get way lower than this. Low man always wins.
