Go See ‘COYOTE VS ACME’ This Weekend Because It’s AWESOME With A 95% RT Score And Also Supports A Giant FU To All The Lame Stupid Studio Suits Who Tried To Shelve This Masterpiece For A Measly Tax Write Off... SHAME!

Folks if you need an A+ movie to go see this weekend, look no further than 'COYOTE VS. ACME'. Now full disclosure this is NOT a sponsored post whatsoever. And I am very much NOT a Looney Tunes diehard fan. Merely a messenger of guaranteed laughs, incredible live action/cartoon crossovers, plus a surprisingly touching underdog story that may very well move you in unexpected ways. And may very well inspire you to call your very best friend after.

At least that's how I felt leaving a packed showing on Thursday night. Honestly one of the more fun cinema experiences I've had this year, right up there with 'The Odyssey' in Lincoln Square IMAX 70mm. And this is truly one of those rare movies where the jokes hit whether you're an adult on a gummy or a family with young kids. There were so many clever throwaway moments packed in there using animation humor to its fullest extent. Masterclass stuff really.

Which makes it all the more curious why Warner Bros would try to shelve this movie for a pathetic tax write off instead of just releasing it to the public. Isn't that what movie studios are supposed to do? Shout out to Ketchup Entertainment for doing the right thing and saving this masterpiece from the trash heap by buying the rights for $50 million. Definitely a movie that will need some big time word of mouth to make a dent at the box office, but even without massive revenue I see this physical release as a total win. As do the director and star Will Forte. Great work fellas! Congrats.

Shout out to the little guy for getting a rare W out there. And HUGE salute to whoever threw on that Wile E. Coyote costume to protest that bullshit a few years ago. Another good reminder that activism WORKS. Public shaming WORKS.

And we certainly need significantly more of it when it comes to policing these out of touch studio executives. What idiots. What fucking IDIOTS.

Rest now, brother. We have the watch, and we'll see you in Valhalla. Enjoy your weekend!

PS: if y'all are looking for something on the other side of the spectrum, this new horror flick 'Buddy' seems pretty damn legit too. Barney-esque children's show character goes absolutely nuts. Got Cristin Milioti in it and also made by the creator of the mega viral Adult Swim sketch 'Too Many Cooks'. Definitely won't be for everybody but sounds pretty darn unique. Or just fuck it all and go see 'T2: Judgement Day' instead. That's also rereleasing now until Wednesday. Either way, PURE CINEMA.
