Nashville International Airport Will Soon Be Named After Dolly Parton
In an age where we rarely see even what most would consider no-brainers come to fruition, it's nice to have something like this actually happen. The Nashville International Airport will soon be named for likely the greatest Tennessean to ever live, Dolly Parton.
I truly haven't seen a single asinine comment on the internet about Dolly in the wake of her passing, which is unfortunately one of the most illuminating things about someone's character you could say these days. Obviously, nobody in Tennessee or the country who was around while Dolly was alive would ever forget her incredible talent and all she did for others, but it's nice that she'll also have this to add to her legacy.
The only potential drawback, which PFT brought up when we discussed this idea on Macrodosing this week, is that future generations will come to know Dolly mainly through her association with a place where the best-case scenario is your day doesn't get ruined and the worst-case scenario is that it very much does. I suppose it will be left to us to inform the children of tomorrow that you can cuss out the United gate agent under your breath as much as you want, but you are to never besmirch the name of Dolly Parton under any circumstances.
RIP, Queen Dolly.
