RIP Optimus Prime. ICONIC Voice Actor Peter Cullen Has Passed Away At 85 So Let's Roll Out A Tribute To All His Best Speeches & Cartoon Characters

Goddamnit man. Not Optimus too. Can't remember a week like this where we lost SO many influential icons who were ultimate creators in their respective fields. True legends of the game. Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, now Peter Cullen too… All representing the Primes of music, movies, & voice acting on an absolutely elite level. RIP.

And even though living into your 80s seems to be a well lived life, I can't help but say they're all gone too soon. They still had more to do. Moments to make. Especially my #1 guy since childhood AKA the fearless leader of the Autobots. This one hurts my heart.

(SOURCE) - Peter's family tells TMZ … "Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family - and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide. His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember 'be strong enough to be gentle.'"

He was Eeyore in 'Winnie The Pooh' and Monterey Jack in "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers," plus KARR in "Knight Rider", the voice of Mario in the original "Donkey Kong" animated series way back in the 1980s. Also known for voicing Predator in the 1987 "Predator" film.

And as you can see from a few of his other voice acting credits, Peter Cullen was no slouch in the booth. More than meets the eye for sure. Totally forget he voiced KARR & The Predator and even Eeyore as well.

Dude was everywhere back then. The epitome of an 80s legend.

But he also remained relevant into the new millennium as well. No doubt the Michael Bay 'Transformers' movies helped there although if you were a fan of any show on Toonami, you probably know him from those commercials too. Shout out to the best 'Gundam' promo ever from the spring of 2000. That silky voice really could make anything seem exciting.

What a goddamn legend brother. Thanks for the memories Prime. Appreciate you getting me through a lot of dark days. We'll take it from here. So one last time… Autobots… ROLL OUT!

PS: fingers crossed Vin Diesel does a tribute song for Peter too. Gravely voice actors gotta stick together out there. True brotherhood.

PPS: would we even know who Megan Fox is without Peter's hard work? Thanks again Optimus. Rest easy on Cybertron.
