Alexander Ovechkin Breaks Another One Of Gretzky's Records After Racking Up 33 Traffic Tickets In Russia This Summer

Alexander Ovechkin overtook Wayne Gretzky as the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer after finding the back of the net for the 895th time. It was a record that most people in hockey considered to be unbreakable. That with the modern advancement of NHL goaltenders, and the style of the game being drastically different than it was during the 80s when Gretzky was doing the majority of his damage, nobody would be able to touch Gretzky's 894. But Alexander Ovechkin became the first and only player in league history to hit the 900 mark, and he's still going. He signed a 1-year, $4.25M extension this summer.

And if he keeps driving the way he's been driving this summer back home in Russia, all of that $4.25M is going straight towards paying off his traffic tickets. Because the GR8 One is putting Gretzky's numbers to shame in that category.

Wayne Gretzky has no public records of any traffic violations in his career. Now there's a good chance he's probably been pulled over before in Canada, but the mounties let him go because his a national hero. But for Gretzky to have 0 traffic violations, and Ovi to come in with 33 in just a single summer? Now that right there is a record that is never going to be touched. The best goal scorer in hockey history, and turns out this guy was born to play football at the University of Georgia.

Old people, man. You just can't trust them behind the wheel. Speaking of wheels, I must be getting pretty old myself because that minivan is pretty frickin' sick. Just outside of my price range, unfortunately.

I'd be so pissed if I was sitting in the back seat and we went on a ride for anything shorter than an hour.
