Remember that illegal assault & crocodile tears from a few weeks ago? DiJonai Carrington (bench player for the Chicago Sky who plays 17 minutes per game and averages under 10 points) tried to behead Sophie Cunningham and then took ZERO responsibility for her actions. Along with a vague promise that "8/23" was gonna be a day to remember when she finally got her rematch against the Indiana Fever. Good stuff.
Well... She wasn't totally wrong about it being a memorable game. Just not for the reasons she wanted. Such a shame!

But hey, credit to her for once again attempting her usual dirty antics so brazenly with everyone watching. Guess if you can't make any discernible impact on the box score or be good enough to crack the starting lineup, midas whale try to trick an elite player into a technical foul level retaliation right? Thankfully for us fans who enjoy watching the actual sport itself instead of immature ignorant antics, Caitlin Clark didn't feed into any of DiJonai's bullshit. All she did was ball out and launch from DEEP, repeatedly. Whilst once again setting new WNBA records too.
In a sense 8/23 was nothing special to CC. Just another night trying to earn a W as the most humble FACE OF THE LEAGUE there will ever be. It really is a privilege to watch her play out there. Dr. James Naismith & his peach baskets would blush.

The Fever are currently battling for a Top 4 seed & homecourt but have officially clinched a playoff berth already. Let's hope Caitlin doesn't get assaulted on the court again before we get there. Still insane seeing how differently refs call a game with her in it, and for whatever reason continue to look the other way when opposing players try to do dirty shit.

Only getting (4) free throws despite going through a gauntlet of cunty cat scratches is some nasty work. But can't be surprised anymore by this shit. WNBA refs won't even call intentional fouls for Caitlin. Sick league!
