VJ Edgecombe Is Already Putting The Whole League On Notice, Posterizes The Shit Out Of Small Child
VJ Edgecombe came bursting onto the scene last year as a rising star. He had an incredible rookie season where he proved himself to be a key piece of the Philadelphia 76ers' core moving forward. Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe became one of the most fun and exciting young duos to watch out for in the league.
Then the Sixers went out and traded for Jaylen Brown this summer. Then they followed that up by signing LeBron James in free agency. In the span of just a few weeks, VJ Edgecome went from one of the most exciting young players in the league to the 5th option on a loaded roster. LeBron James is a 4x NBA Champion, a 4x Finals MVP, and a 4x league MVP. Jaylen Brown has won a championship and a Finals MVP. Joel Embiid is a league MVP. Tyrese Maxey is a 2x All Star and was named NBA Most Improved Player. So it's really not a slight on VJ Edgecombe in the slightest that he's the 5th option in this rotation.
But he's still taking that shit personally. I'm sure he understands, but that doesn't mean he's just going to be content with it. He's going to work his ass off as much as he can to make sure that he's not the 5th option, he's just 1E. He's going to dominate in the weight room. He's going to dominate on the floor against his peers.
And most importantly, he's going to dominate some little snot-nosed twerp who has the audacity to think he's going to get a stop against one of the best rookies in the league last season.
I mean what did this kid think was going to happen? That VJ Edgecombe would just take it easy on him and not snatch his soul? Listen, kid. This ain't some Disney movie where you're going to make a miraculous stop against VJ Edgecome and some NBA scout comes out of nowhere to offer you a contract. He's going to posterize you so hard that you go back to wearing pull ups.
Only a few more posters over 9-year-olds and maybe Edgecombe can finally get the invite to some gym runs with LeBron, Tyrese, and Jaylen Brown.
