Jared Verse Loved Getting Into A Brawl At Practice With Rookie Spencer Fano Because, Well, 'Fighting Is Necessary In Football'
I know when it comes to the Browns we like to make fun of them, because, well, it's easy. Look at the quarterback room. Look at Hue Jackson saying he didn't fail as coach there. I mean they are a disaster of a franchise and it's a little too easy to make fun of them. But, you see that skirmish with Jared Verse and Spencer Fano and it changes, mostly because I forgot Jared Verse was on the Browns now. It's what he said after though that should at least have Browns fans pumped about the defense or Verse and hell even Fano
Ultimate team building is getting into fights with each other. Any guy knows that. You don't have to be a pro athlete to know you bond with your pals after a little dust up. Hell, I'd argue you aren't really friends if you haven't at least gotten into a pushing match or something along those lines with your closest friends. It happens. Then you shake hands, grab a beer and start making fun of each other again. It's the circle of life as guys.
While that quote is getting the rightful love, it's also perfect hearing Verse say he got respect from Fano. If you're a rookie and willing to scrap with a known commodity, a guy you got back for Myles Garrett, you earn that guy's respect. It's not backing down. This is how all fights should be handled. Get into a little fisticuff action, do a press conference, explain it's necessary and you gain respect and move on.
And no shit fighting is necessary in football. You are going 100 miles an hour trying to spear dudes and lay people out. And if you're not doing that, you're in the trenches where it's hell every single play. A little fight only helps build character. This is a win for the Browns, their fans should celebrate that.
