HE'S DONE IT! After 1,993 Games, Jay Lucarelli Sports Has Thrown A Perfect Game With Roy Oswalt On MVP Baseball 2005!

A true "where were you moment" for anyone like myself who was obsessed with Jay Lucarelli Sports live streaming his attempts to pitch a perfect game with Roy Oswalt. It took him over a week to do it, he started a weight loss challenge because it was taking him so long, but after 1,993 games....he has reached the mountain top. A Sunday night with the Monday AM trip to the cube starring us in the face we saw Roy Oswalt snag a come backer that had eyes for center field and he got his perfect game. Your heart stopped for just a second once you saw that ball lined back through the box, admit it. But there was never a doubt Roy was grabbing that one to make history. He gave a full on postgame presser but will also be on The Yak on Monday, excited to hear what he has to say about the full on process and what it was like playing almost 2,000 games

I blogged about him last week when he was a little over 1,400 games in and had no clue if he'd be at this for another two days or another two weeks, take the under on the weeks! Truly an incredible achievement, I believe MLB.com interviewed a programmer for the game and they said it was actually very difficult to do, it's obviously possible to do but will take you an extended period of time, as we saw. But how can you not be romantic about baseball when your realize the final out went right into Roy's glove, it was always meant to end like that. You have to love the nonchalant, calm and casual celebration too, he's acting like he's been there. I will say, tough look calling it a "no-hitter" off the bat but we knew what he meant, you throw a perfect game and you can call it whatever you want.

Just the biggest "dudes rock" of all time, there's nothing like beating your favorite game. Truly a moment he'll remember forever, one day his grandkids will sit around and watch TikTok's of their grandpa Jay throwing a perfecto with Mr. Oswalt. Hopefully Oswalt reaches out and acknowledges the moment, what a cool story that would be. Now we wait to see what's next from him, does he try and score 100 in NBA Live? Does he try and hit 2 grand slams in the same inning with Fernando Tatis Sr.? Do we see him play Madden and try to break the single game sack record? Smells like an After Dark situation if you ask me. Congrats to Jay, congrats to Roy, welcome to immortality. Hopefully Jay can get some sleep now, probably doesn't want to look at that game for another few weeks.
