Red Card or Play On?: High School Soccer Season Is Officially Underway After This Full Blown Assault

I guess that's why they always say there's no love lost whenever the Bobcats play the Cobblers. A heated rivalry that goes back generations. Two schools that cannot stand each other, and they're never afraid to let the other know about it.

You see this, folks? This is what happens when your child wants to be a hockey player, but you force them to play soccer instead. I get it. Hockey is an expensive sport. You're paying for equipment and ice time and travel. Financially speaking, it's an awful investment to let your kids play hockey if they aren't going to the next level. But on the other hand, it also allows them to physically release a ton of aggression. Unlike playing soccer, where they have to keep it all stored inside of them until they finally erupt one day like this.

Tossing the kid to the ground was one thing. Maybe it crossed the line a bit, but that's just a frustration play. Yellow card and you move on.

Kicking the kid in the back of the head while he was down was another thing. Frustration boiling over, and clearly the kid lacks any sort of impulse control. Red card and you get him out of there as soon as possible.

Following all of that up with a ground and pound? Just wailing away on the kid while he's defenseless on the ground? Well….I mean maybe now you have an actual assault on your hands.

Quick sidenote here but #2 in orange better be the captain of this team if he's not already.

That kid came flying in there with zero hesitation. He saw his boy getting dummied on the sideline, and he immediately sprinted to get into the action. He looks like the smallest kid on the field, too. Doesn't matter. He's built that way. While everyone else was just walking around like they had no idea what to do, he goes full spider monkey. That's a kid you can win with.

13 in white should probably lay low for a while, and look for a nice collared shirt to wear in a few weeks. But 2 in orange is a winner. God I hope that kid is the absolute man at his school.
