DiJonai Carrington Doubles Down On Her "WHITE PRIVILEGE" Post & Also Says She May Foul That Hard Again? Meanwhile NO Suspension Or Punishment For Her Flagrant 2 On Sophie Cunningham And WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert Made Her Twitter Private. Sick League!

Little update for all you diehard WNBA fans out there. If you're already feeling a little lost though, feel free to catch up above on The W's latest assault from this past weekend. One of the most egregious & obvious flagrant fouls in basketball history. Unless you're Dijonai Carrington. Or her many fans. They seem to think that chase down block was ALL BALL.

Pretty sure that's still a foul even if you're playing by prison rules. And yet her head coach, plenty of pundits, plus even the Indiana Fever head coach all came out in defense of her dirty ass actions. Have they not seen her foul montage? SHE HAS A MONTAGE ALREADY.

Truly mind bottling stuff.

Big shout out to Linda Cohn for being one of the only sane media members remaining out there. Great coverage by her lately now that she's gone solo. Had some A+ takes on Stephanie White that are worth hearing. Midas whale make Linda the next commish while we're at it! She's got my vote.

As far as DiJonai goes, she didn't seem to give a single solitary fuck about the whole situation. Not only running to Threads to post wild shit right after her ejection… But also doubling down on the whole thing during the past few days.

Meanwhile there's been absolute crickets from the league office on any possible punishment for her, whether it be for the violent flagrant 2 act itself or the inflammatory racial remarks literally directed at a specific team. Extremely weird inaction all around.

"I’ve never once claimed that the assessment of the foul was white privilege (that was your assumption). Try exercising your critical thinking skills, I know you studied psych. Furthermore, I’m the LAST thing from ignorant or asinine when it comes to speaking on “white privilege”, do ya research on that one. I actually went to school, one of the top universities might I add, to educate myself on this exact subject. I would never use that term as a rhetorical weapon knowing the historical and social weight it holds without having the proper evidence to substantiate it."

Well… it's been 24 hours since her Tweet but still no "proper evidence to substantiate" provided by her to further explain whatever the fuck she meant by "WHITE PRIVILEGE @FEVER" after nearly beheading a woman on live television. Oh, it was meant to be about "consistency across the board" in officiating? Riiiiiiiight. Way to send a very clear message about that DiJonai! Inspiring to see that Stanford education is paying off in spades.

And would you look at that, she earned herself a hero's welcome during an away game in Seattle last night too. Positive vibes ONLY.

The WNBA… Where… Well I'm not really sure what happens there anymore. Guess they love letting players that should've been suspended set records instead of facing well deserved punishment? Fascinating stuff.

But surely their commissioner Cathy Engelbert must be doing something about all of this chaos right? Keeping communication lines open? Extending olive branches over social media? Do horses wear horse socks? Is anybody listening to me?

Aw damn. Cathy definitely can't hear me. Not if she's gone private on Twitter. That actually might be league history though. What other commissioner of a professional sports organization has ever locked their account from potential followers in the smartphone era? I can't recall any. Congrats Cathy!!

Not gonna keep rambling on about this but you get the point. Lots of mixed messages being sent by WNBA leadership recently. At the very least, every current & any potential fan deserves clarity & respect from those in power. Who else are we supposed to be getting that information from? Jesus H Christ guys, FIGURE IT OUT!

Clearly The W needs a hero now more than ever. And thankfully for all of us fans, she's already HERe. We're watching because of HER too. Never forget that fact. Quite frankly, it's a privilege to watch her play. Fade into Bolivian if you think otherwise.

PS: Holy fuck do we need the NFL back in our lives ASAP.
