Kelly Slater Is 54-Years-Old And Still Ripping Teahupo'o As Hard As Ever

2000. 2003. 2005. 2011. 2016.

Kelly Slater is a 5x champ in Tahiti. He's been winning at Teahupo'o since plenty of the guys competing on the World Surf League were in diapers.

It's one of the heaviest waves on planet Earth. A thick, monstrous left that breaks right over extremely shallow, razor sharp reef. It's pretty much a wave that either ends in glory or gore. You're either getting spit out of one of the most perfect barrels of your life, or you are getting raked along jagged coral reef and leaving with some brutal injuries. Kelly Slater is 54-years-old. He's done it all at this point in his career. You'd think at some point he'd start to reel it in a bit, but here he is taking down 3x World Champ Gabriel Medina.

Just a casual 19 point heat. What a sick, sick bastard.

And speaking of sick bastards, let's talk about this 10 from Griffin Colapinto.

Pretty much impossible to get any deeper than this. It's ridiculous how these guys are able to make it out of there.
