It's Little League Regional Championship Week And We Have A Massive Scandal Situation With Tulsa National Little League That Involves The League Potentially Falsifying Players In The Challenger Division, Deleting Past Games, A Disqualification, And A Temporary Restraining Order

NY Post- A Tulsa Little League baseball team was kicked out of the 2026 Little League Baseball Southwest Region Tournament after it was ruled that one of its players was ineligible.

The decision was announced on Monday by the Little League International Tournament Committee after a protest was filed over the eligibility of players on the Tulsa team. The team has been removed from the regional tournament and their previous games have now been changed to a forfeit. 

The committee’s ruling is final and binding, the statement read. 

Oh Boy. Okay so the way it's unfolded is that Sunday, Oklahoma beat Louisiana 3-2 to advance to the regional final.... or so they thought. 

They, along with the rest of the world would be notified before Monday's elimination game between Texas West and Louisiana (playing because of the Tulsa DQ) Originally scheduled as an elimination game, with the loser home and the winner to face Tulsa in the final, had now been bumped to the defacto Regional Final because Tulsa was DQ'ed. Texas West thinks they are heading to Williamsport. 

Then the story takes another turn when a temporary restraining order comes down and Tulsa is reinstated and informed they will play Tuesday vs Texas West to decide a real champion. Even though Texas West burnt all it's pitching because they thought they were in, and some of their players and parents were on their way home when the announcement came. 

ESPN - A Little League team from Tulsa, Oklahoma, disqualified from the Southwest Region tournament in Texas because of an ineligible player, has been granted a temporary restraining order, according to multiple reports, and will be able to play for a spot in the Little League Baseball World Series.

The Tulsa National Little League team, a collection of players 12 and under, received Monday's order from Judge Ryan Luna of the 414th District Court, according to NewsOn6 in Tulsa, and KWTX in Waco, Texas, citing a news release from the league. As a result, the team will be able to play Texas West on Tuesday, in Waco, with a berth in next week's LLBWS on the line.

The forfeit allowed Texas West to defeat Louisiana 4-1 Monday in what was supposed to have been the region's title game, after Tulsa had defeated Louisiana earlier in the tournament. But now Tuesday's winner will punch a ticket to the LLBWS in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

"The winner of the game," the statement from the Tulsa league read, "will be determined on the field where it should be decided."

What an absolute shitshow …. and buckle up folks, the insanity doesn't end there. 

A report from Sports Illustrated is saying Tulsa National's protest stems partly from the league falsifying players in the Challenger division, a league dedicated to special needs players. 

SI.com - In addition to the four violations previously mentioned, the three leagues that filed the protest have accused Tulsa National Oklahoma District Administrator Mindy Abbott and Tulsa National Little League President Steve Skocik of using the Challenger program fraudulently to falsify player eligibility.

“Not only are there multiple sources that have confirmed that Tulsa National Little League did not play a Challenger game this year, there are questions regarding whether the player would even qualify for the Challenger program,” the protest reads. “Using a special needs program in this manner is so egregious that anyone involved with this should be banned for life from Little League.”

The complaint also reveals that a previous protest filed against Tulsa National Little League in Waco two days ago was denied.

There are also reports of changing GameChanger data. 

SI.com - A GameChanger admin has been deleting and modifying Tulsa National Little League GameChanger data since the original protest filed by Boerne Little League,” says the complaint. “These actions show an intent to deceive and/or hide the facts of how the season was played and should nullify any GameChanger data as evidence of player participation during the regular season.”

As a result, the protest is asking for an “immediate investigation into the operating policies of Tulsa National Little League to determine whether or not a valid season was conducted, the disqualification of Tulsa National Little League from all 2026 postseason play and disciplinary action against District Administrator Mindy Abbott and Steve Skocik for knowingly falsifying official Little League documentation.”

Unreal. Now I think it goes without saying if you are falsifying or manipulating The Challenger division to get players eligible you need serious help in your life. Just an inexcusable offense. As adults you are supposed to teach the kids the game as well as right and wrong and to do stuff like this is just an absolute joke. And the judge who put in the TRO to allow this team to play is quite something if this is true. 

Now for what it's worth, I have had my ear to the grindstone about LLWS stuff all year, and Oklahoma is always rumored to play dirty with their eligibility. Reminder, Danny Almonte's Bronx team was facing the issue and protest that he didn't play the regular season for that Little League and was shipped up days before the tournament. That was the first violation, the second one which is the only one anyone remembers is his age. Tulsa is rumored to be forming an all star team all over the state using a new sibling preference rule that players under 7 can play anywhere they want, and in turn their siblings can then play for that league which is how they formed the 12u super team. It also stems from how they potentially manipulated the rules by claiming a sibling had special needs allowing the player's sibling to play in their league.

Insane. Again, the courts will play it all out but my Lord is this insane. The thing that gets me here is not only are all these regional teams screwed if Oklahoma did in fact cheat, but the teams Oklahoma beat in the state tournament will never get to know if they could have made a run at Williamsport, you only get 1 shot to be 12 years old and the adults who potentially robbed kids of that are awful people. 

There's really only one way to sum up this story if you believe in karma and some things are bigger than sports … Texas West wins tonight. I'll be locked in … big time.
