The 'Influencer' Who Bragged About 'Inmate Hopping' With 50 to 75 Prisoners, Including Murderers, Pleads Guilty to Fraud. Ironically Enough, to Avoid Jail Time.

I'm going to have to beg your indulgence for a minute here. Because if you're familiar with the work of self-described Influencer Ash Trevino, you have me at a disadvantage. I'm playing catch up on his young woman. And her claims of influencing me, you, or anyone else. Besides, it seems, a few dozen members of America's incarcerated population.

Which doesn't make her special in any way. Because as I go back through my own posts, going into prisons in order to find love seems to be our National Pastime at the moment:

But as Ash Trevino has shown, one doesn't have to work in a jail to meet the men in there. Why go through all that law enforcement training, self defense classes, emergency procedures, gun certification and the like, when you just have to show up? I guess?

Again, I'm new to her methods. But it seems like she's just be knocking on the gate of the jails and asking for conjugal visits. And don't let her Patton Oswald-like appearance fool you. She's got (pun intended) a captive audience in there.

Source -  Ash Trevino, a Texas-based social media influencer whose online notoriety is closely tied to her relationships with incarcerated men, was arrested this week on outstanding felony warrants.

According to People, Trevino, whose legal name is Ashley Lopez-Trevino, was taken into custody on the evening of Wednesday, December 17, at her home in Venus, Texas. …

With more than 500,000 followers across Instagram and Snapchat, Trevino has built a sizable, polarizing following by openly documenting her personal life online.

Much of her content centers on dating men who are currently incarcerated or recently released from prison, a pattern she has previously referred to as “inmate hopping.” She has also shared details about her life as a mother, which has drawn frequent criticism, particularly after remarks about her children’s living conditions circulated online.

Venus? She lives in a town named after the Roman goddess of love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity, and victory? If a fella were to grade such a woman, what she wouldn't get from her Looks would definitely be helped by her Intangibles.

And yet, either by accident, design, sheer coincidence or just irony, she's been the one behind bars:

Source -  TMZ obtained court docs filed by Texas prosecutors in connection with her welfare fraud case. In the docs, they claim Ash engaged in relationships with approximately “50-75 inmates of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.”

Prosecutors added that the inmates were "currently incarcerated for various violent offenses including but not limited to aggravated robbery and murder.”

In addition, the prosecutors took issue with what they describe as her “panhandling” on TikTok by "requesting monetary contributions … to disclose health information regarding a dependent.”

The paperwork also slammed Ash for allegedly engaging in sexually explicit social media videos and “lives.” …

This week, Ash avoided further time behind bars by pleading guilty to the offenses.  She was sentenced to complete two years of community supervision, 120 hours of community service, an anti-theft class, and financial counseling.

The social media star was also ordered to pay $16,799.95 in restitution to the state.

Well good for Ash. Not so much for her children, since it sounds like she was exploiting them and their medical conditions to beg for money online. I'm going to try not to let it destroy my faith in our proud Influencer community. But as long as she pays her debt to society and her children are properly supervised by responsible adults, we'll have to live and let live on that.

But what's most important is that Ms. Trevino be on the outside. There are so many aggravated assaulters, robbers and murderers in the care of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. They get lonely. They long for the touch of a woman. Some female companionship. A soft, feminine voice like hers to talk to. And how could she fill those needs if she's in a woman's prison? There are a lot more than 75 I'm sure. So by keeping her on the streets, and between the sheets, everybody wins.

Keep doing you, Ash. Which is to say, letting convicted killers do you. You're making the world a better place for all of us.
