Some Haters on the Internet Are Saying Colorado Looks Like a Middle School Football Team After Seeing Videos From Fall Camp
I don't remember the last fall camp video that got this many people on social media talking.
Usually, camp content is contained to its own fanbase and everything is positive, barring an injury. Every player is the strongest he's ever been. The team chemistry is amazing. The coaches love this year's group more than any they've ever been around.
But Colorado has everybody marveling at the seemingly diminutive nature of this year's team.
The player featured in that clip is WR Quentin Gibson, who's listed at 5'9" and 155 pounds. On most teams, that size would be an anomaly, but the Buffaloes currently have 11 players listed at 5"9" or shorter and 18 players listed at 175 pounds or less. It seems like they'll be relying on speed this season.
New offensive coordinator Brennan Marion — a personal favorite of Liam Blutman's, which gives any coach instant credibility in my eyes — doesn't seem too worried about the noise, though.
The good news for everyone is Marion's right. We're just a few weeks away from playing real football and we'll get a good look at Colorado when it opens its season at Georgia Tech in a nationally televised primetime game on Thursday, September 3.
