WATCH: The First Trailer For The Robert Pattinson Chris Hansen Movie Is Incredible

I'll reiterate what I said when the teaser dropped. 'To Catch A Predator' has a very interesting history. They obviously did phenomenal work getting pedos off the streets, but also muddied the lines between entertainment and law enforcement. They also got some cases thrown out for entrapment, got sued a billion times and one guy famously blew his brains out as the NBC camera crew approached his yard after police changed procedure for the sake of the show.

This movie very clearly is taking the correct approach. Instead of being a puffy biopic, it's going the route of 'Nightcrawler (one of the most under-appreciated movies of the century, in my opinion). Robert Pattinson is on pace to potentially have the greatest calendar year for an actor in recent memory. The supporting cast of Skyler Gisondo, Bokeem Woodbine, Ana Faris and Merritt Weaver is also incredible. Lastly, like I mentioned in the teaser blog, I really like director Lance Oppenheim. He directed an awesome doc 'Ren Faire' on HBO a couple years ago which was fantastic.
