Jeff Nadu Somehow Managed to Negotiate Himself Out of The Easiest Payday of All-Time

Well that's a shame. I love you Nadu. Not literally. I love him in the way you say "I love you" to someone at the start of a blog right before you say some not especially nice things about that person.

Sometimes I want to appreciate Jeff Nadu as being one of the few people in Barstool Sports history to not be afraid to blow an opportunity to work here. To his credit, he always seems to do fine on his own. At least fine enough to live a nice life in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He has a fairly successful mafia themed podcast after all. But when you keep coming back to Barstool so many times... idk Nadu... it's just hard watch something like today happen and think anything other than, "God damn it. Nadu blew it again. Oh well. He'll come crawling back in a few months".

For those uninitiated with the current Rico Bosco/Jeff Nadu drama, and care to be caught up,  the Bosco vs Nadu rivalry has been raging for as long as I can remember. It dates back generations. All the way back to WWII when Mussolini invaded Albania, declared them an Italian protectorate, and Giuseppe Bosco opened a competing waste management company in Tirana that ran the Nadu's out of business, forcing their immigration to Amish Country, USA.

Fast forward to today, the Bosco's and Nadu's still hate each other. Dave and Big Cat love their rivalry. So when Rico lost a bet to Dave (Michigan beat Alabama in the Sweet Sixteen), Rico's payment to Dave was to do a weekly college basketball podcast with Jeff Nadu for one season. Men of Honor was finally going to happen.

Unfortunately, from there... let's see... Rico called Nadu's sister ugly. Nadu responded by flying on a plane. Nadu eventually revealed that he was offered $60,000 to do a once a week college basketball podcast. He went on The Yak to brag about how much he gets his dick sucked. Brandon Walker didn't believe him.

But then, at Nadu's 37th birthday party on the 3rd floor of Yorgos Lancaster, he went home unsucked. Not a thick latina in sight.

Which somehow led to Nadu going on some guy's podcast (I think it was a podcast) where he made the gutsy chess move of demanding even more money from Dave Portnoy if he wanted Nadu to be on Men of Honor.

To which Dave responded…

Classic Nadu. He makes a bunch of free content for Barstool. Gets himself back in Dave's good graces. And the second he's about to be back, seems to realize "I'm making better content than 90% of the people there", which to be fair is true, "I know Dave wants me back for __", in this case it was Men of Honor, "I'm going to start playing hardball."

But as always, Nadu overplays his hand. Dave will never respond well to that from a guy he sees as so far beneath him. He would probably prefer let Barstool die than so much as entertain the idea of letting Jeff Nadu shake him down. Hence the thumbs down.

Just like that, Nadu is out before he even got back in. Brutal to watch someone piss away such an easy $60k. He tried to shake down Dave Portnoy and ended up making his #1 rival's day. What an all-time miscalculation.

I won't say Bosco won the war yet. It's a lotta game left. But right now, the hoop looks the size of a swimming pool, and the Ryders are up 40 at half.
