The Kansas City Chiefs Released New Renderings of Their New Stadium... and It's Just Arrowhead Stadium With a Roof

I don't get it, but I get it. Clark Hunt and the Kansas City Chiefs will be opening their new stadium in 2031 and just released renderings of what the stadium will look like. ANDDDDD it's just Arrowhead Stadium with a roof.

Where I get it is Hunt just wants more money. I mean, who doesn't? With this new stadium, the Chiefs will now be able to host Super Bowls and Final Fours. That will bring in a SHIT ton of money.

Where I don't get it is this is taking away the history of Arrowhead Stadium and the advantages the stadium has. No one ever wants to come to Arrowhead in the heat, cold, snow, or rain. In Kansas City, you can play in 90-degree heat or -20-degree cold.

Now with this stadium, the one thing I like is we will still have tailgating in the middle of nowhere. If Hunt had taken that away, that would have been a big disappointment.

My honest opinion and review: Look, the reason we wanted to build a new stadium was to create a new community and add hotels and restaurants near the stadium to bring in more money for the city. Based on the renderings, it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere, so that makes no sense. The stadium itself, like I said, is Arrowhead with a roof, and that's nice that they aren't changing much about it. BUT, all the new stadiums are starting to look like this, and no one is happy about that. Since Arrowhead has always been the stadium I've known, I think it's a nice touch to keep it the same. Overall, the stadium is fine. I am upset we are having to do this to make a guy richer. If there wasn't a chance of hosting any major sporting events, Clark Hunt wouldn't change a thing and would keep the historical Arrowhead the same. But there is a high chance of hosting a Super Bowl or Final Four.

It sucks this is what NFL stadiums are coming to, but soon every stadium will have a roof, and the weather will not be a factor in the NFL, which sucks. We are entering a new era of football.
