Trouble In Paradise Already? According To Tracy McGrady, Joel Embiid And Jaylen Brown Still Haven't Spoken Since He Became A Sixer

It's no secret that for essentially the entire 8-year run that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were teammates, one of the more annoying things we as Celtics fans had to deal with was all the nonstop bullshit. Everything being dissected, ESPN doing their best to create narratives like when they tried to gaslight everyone that Jayson Tatum wasn't happy for Jaylen or celebrate when he won the ECF MVP and then used this image as their evidence

The whole thing was exhausting. It didn't matter how much they won, or what they said, it never stopped. Add in speculation that would come whenever someone close to either guy said something on a podcast, and you can imagine how old it got.

Well, now that the Jays are no more and Jaylen Brown is no longer a Celtic, it's not our problem. Does that mean this sort of thing will stop? Of course not. Don't be an idiot. The only difference is now it's Sixers fans who have to deal with this kind of thing

They'll learn that sports radio and ESPN are just part of the equation. They're also going to have to handle Tracy McGrady and his podcast. You see, because Jaylen and TMac are close, whatever he says is often viewed as coming from Jaylen. How true that is, we'll never know, but it's all part of the bullshit.

Why does this matter? Well, according to TMac, it sure sounds like there's already trouble in paradise!

Yeah….where was Embiid on that stream? How come Jaylen didn't call him? How come he hasn't made an appearance yet on a stream since the trade? That sure feels like there's tension and that most likely they hate each other, no? Is there beef already? Is Embiid upset because this is Jaylen's team now?

(see how insane this all sounds? This was our life for 8 years)

Do I believe in any of that shit? Of course not. But you know what? If I had to deal with that shit, then so do Sixers fans. I don't make the rules, this is just part of the deal.

What kind of leader is Joel Embiid if he hasn't reached out to Jaylen Brown? The trade was 12 days ago. There's plenty of time between July 1st and today for him to reach out. If TMac is saying they haven't spoken, that's actually Jaylen Brown saying it, so what gives? Shouldn't Embiid be happy that he now finally has a superteam? Something he cried about the Celtics having and a reason why he hadn't won yet?

yet, for some reason, he's clearly not embracing Jaylen Brown being a Sixer. So much for the City of Brotherly love!

Now, am I writing this blog because I may or may not be a little annoyed that this was the type of shit we had to deal with for nearly a decade? Yes. Am I also writing it because the idea of Jaylen Brown being a Sixer makes me want to vomit? Also yes. But that doesn't change the fact that Joel Embiid hasn't spoken to Jaylen Brown yet despite the trade happening weeks ago.

Sixers fans will surely try and spinzone this and say it's nothing. I know that game all too well. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but what I do know is it's only going to get worse from here. Trust me on that. The first end of game possession gone wrong, the first stream where comments get taken out of context, the first losing streak. There are A LOT of positives to adding Jaylen Brown to your basketball team, but shit like this? It's the worst.
